Terms of service
Draft. This page describes how the Clever test service works today. The final text will replace it before Clever launches.
The service
Clever is a web browser with an AI assistant. The assistant answers questions about pages and can carry out tasks in your browser when you ask it to.
Your account
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code, or with Apple or Google where offered. Keep access to your mailbox safe: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
Plans and credits
The Free plan includes a monthly allowance of credits. Pro is a subscription sold through the App Store or Google Play, at the price the store shows. Each answer and each task uses credits as shown in the app. Plans, allowances and costs may change before launch.
When Clever acts for you
- Clever acts only on your requests, in the tabs you give it, and you can stop it at any time.
- You choose how often it asks first. Whatever you choose, anything that spends money waits for your approval.
- You are responsible for the actions you approve, and for following the rules of the sites you use.
- Clever never types passwords, card numbers or verification codes: it hands the page to you instead.
AI answers
AI answers can be wrong or out of date. Check anything important against the sources Clever shows.
Your own API keys
If you use your own key, the provider's terms and prices apply to those requests, and the provider bills you directly.
Fair use
Don't use Clever to break the law, to harm other people or sites, or to get around the service's limits. We may suspend accounts that do.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time (how). Store subscriptions are cancelled in the store.
